Das Museum befindet sich im Stadtzentrum neben dem Fremdenverkehrsamt.

Es bietet eine erstaunliche Sammlung von Ende des XIX ten Jahrhunderts bis 1970, die zu einem längeren Besuch einlädt. Sie besteht aus 6000 Objekten*,

die in 5 Räumen verteilt sind.

Fast alle ausgewählten Exponate sind Mittel zu Zeitreisen, sowie Zeugen der Gesellschaftsgeschichte oder sie eröffnen die Möglichkeit der heutigen Zeit zu entfliehen.
